June 22, 1941, is one of the most tragic dates in the history as the first day of the Great Patriotic War. It brought a world of woe and suffering, claimed millions of lives and broke the fates of more than one generation. A treacherous attack by a devious enemy became a fire line that abruptly split the peaceful life and the long period of fearless resistance. And it's the sacred duty of ours to remember those great defenders of our Motherland who stood for it, and to be proud of courage, valour and perseverance demonstrated by soldiers, officers and self-sacrificing home front workers, including women, the elderly and children. Let us bow down before those who defended the peaceful life for everyone, and keep their memory and glory of the fallen heroes!
