July 03rd, 1944 Troops of the 3rd Belarussian Front were aided by those of the 1st Belarussian Front, advancing rapidly and enveloping enemy flanks. On July 3 they seized the city of Minsk, the capital of Soviet Belarussia, as well as more than 450 other settlements... July 04th, 1944 Troops of the 1st Baltic Front continued to advance July 4, seizing the city of POLOTSK, an important railroad junction. More than 300 other settlements were also seized. July 08th, 1944 Our forces continued to advance north of BARANOVICHI, seizing Baranovichi-region district centers LYUBCHA and GORODISHCHE. They also seized more than 150 other settlements, including such large settlements as DELYATICHI, VERESKOVO, OSTASHIN... July 09th, 1944 Troops of the 1st Baltic Front continued their successful advance, seizing Vileisk-region district centers BRASLAV, VIDZE and POSTAVY. They also seized the Lithuanian SSR district center SVENCIANY, the LYNTUPY railroad junction, the city of DRUYA, as well as more than 700 other settlements... July 10th, 1944 Troops of the 2nd Belarussian Front continued to mop up encircled enemy groups east of MINSK. In the course of July 9 our forces captured 3,500 German officers and soldiers. Lt.-Gen. MILLER, acting commander of the fourth German army, Maj.-Gen. KLAMMT, commander of the 260th infantry division, as well as members of their staffs, surrendered to our units...
