September 01st, 1944

On September 1 to the west and south of the city of PLOIESTI, our forces advanced into enemy defenses to secure over 60 settlements, including such important points as KATINA, NEDELEA, DERMENESTI, BEKENESTI, BUJORANKA, ZOICA, TINTOVA and railroad stations of PRAHOVA and KRIVINA.

September 02nd, 1944

On September 2 to the southeast of the city of BUCHAREST our forces fully cleared the enemy out of the northern bank of the river DANUBE between OLTENITA and FETESTI, securing the city and railroad station of OLTENITA and over 70 other settlements, including such important points as GRUIU, BUDESTI, CURCANU, ULMENI, VARASTI, ROSETI, and FETESTI, and railroad stations of PLATARESTI, GALBINASI, VASILATI, BUDESTI, CURCANU, and RESIE.

September 03rd, 1944

On September 3 to the north and west of the city of PLOIESTI, our forces advanced into the enemy-controlled territory to secure over 40 settlements, including such important points as VALENI DE MUNTE, MAGURELE, FILIPESTI, RASVADU, COMISANI, BALENI, DOBRA and railroad stations of VALENI DE MUNTE, LUKA ELEFTERESKU, LIPANESTI, and GAGENI.

September 04th, 1944

To the southwest of the town of LOMZA our forces secured over 100 settlements, including such important points as HOROMANI, HROSTOWO, BOROZDE, IARNUTI, SUCHCZICE, ROSOS, VOSNEWO, HURY, NOVA VES, DLUGOSEDLO, BJALE BLOTO, BRANSZCZIK, TUGIN and railroad stations of ELENCHI, GUTIN, and PRZETYCZ.

September 05th, 1944

On September 5 to the north of the town of TARTU, our forces repulsed the enemy’s multiple armor-supported infantry attacks and inflicted heavy losses in manpower and materiel upon the enemy.

September 06th, 1944

On September 6, the forces of the 2nd Belarussian Front launched a successful assault on an important enemy strongpoint on the river NAREW - the town and fortress of OSTROLENNA.

September 07th, 1944

On September 7 to the southwest of the town of LOMZA, our forces secured several settlements, including TARNOVO, VOLOSCIANCKI, ROZVORI, PRZITULY, OLDAKI, and WOICEHOWICE.

September 08th, 1944

On September 8 to the southwest of the town of LOMZA, our forces continued fighting for advantageous positions to secure several settlements. In Romania, our forces advanced into the enemy-controlled territory to secure, together with the Romanian Army, the city of SIBIU and over 100 other settlements, including such important points as PERISANI, BOGDANESTI, SLAVINESTI, COSOVENI DE JOS, LEU, and DIOSTI

September 09th, 1944

On September 9 in northeast Romania our forces advanced into enemy defenses, securing over 100 settlements, including CIOMURNA, FRUMOASA, GURA-GUMORA, SLATIOARA, OSTRA, COTIRGASI, SABASA, LARGULUI, BISTRICIOARA, ZEDANTELEK, railroad stations of GURA-GUMORA, FRASIN, MOLID, and, together with the Romanian Army, secured an important settlement of TIRGUL-SACUESC.

September 10th, 1944

On September 10 in northeast Romania, our forces, defying enemy resistance, took over the town and railroad station of VAMA, and secured the settlements of RUSCA MOLDOVITA, VARTA MOLDOVITA, CRUCIA, HOLDA, BROSTANI, and DIERDIO BACAS.

September 11st, 1944

On September 11 to the south and southwest of the town of LOMZA, our forces secured over 30 settlements, including PNEWO, PODHUZE, GIELCZYN, KONAZICE (4 kilometers to the south of the town of LOMZA), BOGUSZICE, HOJNY SMESZNE, SULKI, MIASTKOWO, ZARUZE, and KULESKA.

September 12nd, 1944

On September 12 to the south and southwest of the town of LOMZA, our forces gained considerably better positions, securing several settlements. In Romania, our forces together with the Romanian Army, advanced into enemy defenses, took over the towns of MERCUREA CIUCULUI (in North Transylvania), BLAJ, AIUD, DEVA, and secured over 150 other settlements, including such important points as SAS KEZD, CIKMANTOR, SAUCA, DICA SENT, MARTON and railroad stations of HOMOROD, KATA, and PALOS.

September 13rd, 1944

On September 13, the forces of the 2nd Belarussian Front fought relentlessly to take over an important enemy strongpoint on the river NAREW — the town and fortress of LOMZA, and secured over 30 settlements, including LOMZICA, BOZENICY NOWE and STARE, KUPISKI, GRZYMALY NOVOGRUDSKE, JANLOWO, CARTORIA, RIBAKI, DROGOSEWO, and LIASKOVEC.

September 14th, 1944

On September 14 to the west of the town of LOMZA, our forces took over the town of NOVOGRUD, an important enemy strongpoint on the left-hand bank of the river NAREW. On September 14, the forces of the 1st Belarussian Front took over an important site in the outskirts of WARSAW after continuous and long fighting

September 15th, 1944

On September 15 to the north of PRAGUE, our forces together with 1st Polish Army advanced into heavy enemy defenses and took over the following settlements: RYNIA, BIALOBZEGI, ALEXANDROW, IZABELIN, STANISLAWOW, CZARNA STRUGA, MARKI, GRODZISK, BIALOLENKA, ANNOPOL, and TARGOWEK.

September 16th, 1944

On September 16 to the north of Prague, our forces, together with 1st Polish Army, secured the settlements of KOBIALKA, SZAMOCIN, MANKI, BRZEZINY, and PELCZOVIZNA.

September 17th, 1944

On September 17 to the west of the town of JELGAVA (MITAVA), our forces repulsed the enemy’s multiple armor-supported infantry attacks and inflicted heavy losses in manpower and materiel upon the enemy. In North Transylvania, our forces, together with the Romanian Army, secured several settlements, including GLAZERIA, GURCJU, CRACUNESTI, NICOLESTI, and the railroad station of GURCIU.

September 18th, 1944

On September 18 to the west of the town of JELGAVA (MITAVA), our forces successfully repulsed the enemy’s multiple armor-supported infantry attacks. To the south and southeast of the town of SANOK, our forces advanced into enemy defenses and took over the administrative center of the DROGOBYCH Region - the town and railroad station of USTRIKI DOLNI, and secured over 30 other settlements, including NADOLIANY, NOWOTANEC, BUKOWSKO, KARLIKOW, KULASNE, MYCZKOWCY, BUBRKA, LOBOZEW, and USTIANOWA.

September 19th, 1944

The forces of the 3rd Baltic Front launched an offensive, broke down enemy defenses and on September 19 took over a heavily defended area in Southern Estonia, the town and major railroad junction of VALGA, and secured over 200 other settlements, including the city of TORVA, the settlements of KAUBI, HELJME, KORKULA, KAAGARVE, LEPA, VIRESI, MALUMUIZA, and LESIACIEMS.

September 20th, 1944

The forces of the Leningrad Front launched an offensive from the north of TARTU, broke down heavy enemy defenses and in four days of offensive action advanced by up to 70 kilometers and widened the gap in enemy defenses to 120 kilometers. During the offensive, the forces of the front liberated over 1,500 settlements, including such important points as KALLASTE, MUSTVE, JIGEVA, VARNJA, KASEPA, KOSA, VARA, KESKKULA, VAIKE-KOLKJA, ALATSKIVI, NIVA, MAGDALENA, KOGI, PALA, TIHEDA, TULAVERE, TOVERE, PALAMUZE, TAMMISPA, AVINURME, MIJZAMA, METSAKULA, SALLA, ADRU and railroad stations of AVINURME, MIUSTWE, VIAGEVA, PEDIA, JIGEVA, SOIDI, KALEVI, KAREPERE, NAVA, TABIVERE, and KARKNA.

September 21st, 1944

On September 21 on their way to Tallinn the forces of the Leningrad Front, continuing their offensive, took over the town and railroad station of RAKVERE, and secured over 300 other settlements, including such important points as AZERI, KABALA, KADRINA, KAUKSI, RADNA, LAEKSVERE, ROHU, SIMUNA, VAJKE MARJA, RAKKE, PIKKNURME and railroad stations of AZERI, VAEKULA, and RAKKE. The forces, advancing to the west of the town of NARVA, fully cleared the enemy out of the isthmus between Lake Chudskoye and the Gulf of Finland, to join the forces advancing along the Lake Chudskoye’s western shore.

September 22nd, 1944

On September 22, the forces of the Leningrad Front in a sweeping offensive took over an important naval base and a large Baltic Sea port —the city of TALLINN (REVEL), the capital of Soviet Estonia, and secured over 800 other settlements, including the city and railroad junction of TAPA, the city of PAJDE, the city of PILTSAMA, important settlements of KUNDA, HALJALA, KUSALU, KABERLA, KEHRA, LEHSTE, JARVA MADICE, JARVA JANI, PETRI, KOIGI, JARAVERE, RASNA, VITSJARVE and railroad stations of KILTSI, TAMSALU, NIMKULA, JANEDA, AEGVIDU, MUSTJOE, and KEHRA.

September 23rd, 1944

On September 23, the forces of the Leningrad Front, continuing their offensive, took over the city of PJARNU (PERNOV), a major post in the Gulf of RIGA and a large highway junction in Southern Estonia; the town and railroad station of VILJANDI, and over 700 other settlements, including the towns of TURI, VAHASTU, KADVA, LELLE, KARU, KAREVERE, VANA-VJANDRA, VOHMA, REGULDI, and railroad stations of LELLE, KARU, OLLEPA, and VOHMA.

September 24th, 1944

On September 24, the forces of the Red Banner Baltic Fleet took over an important naval base on the Baltic Sea the town of PALDISKI (the seaport of BALTIYSKY). On September 24, our forces, continuing their offensive southwest and south of TALLINN, secured over 200 settlements, including such important points as PARTLI, KOHILA, JURU, RAPLA, KEAVA, AZUKULA, and MARJAMA.

September 25th, 1944

On September 25 in Western and Southern Estonia, our forces, continuing their offensive, took over an administrative center of Soviet Estonia - the town and seaport of HAPSALU; the town of KILINGI NIMME, the town of MIIZAKULA, the town of MUSTLA, and over 800 other settlements, including such important points as KEJLA, VASALEMMA, RIIZIPERE, PAEKULA, VELISE, VIGALA, UDUVERE, NEDREMA, SINDI, KODARA, RANNAKJULA, VIISTE, HADEMESTE, KUSINU, KULLA, RIMMU, TUHALANE...

September 26th, 1944

On September 26 to the southwest of the city of TALLINN, our forces were wiping separate enemy groups out of the western coast of Estonia, securing over 200 settlements, including KLOGA-RAND, KURKSE, ALLIKLEPA, ROZLEPA, LINNAMAE, RIDALA, TURU, PUISE, HAESKA, MARTNA, SILLA, LAJKKUL, MIHKLI, and railroad stations of RIZIPERE, ELAMMA, RISTI, TAEBLA, PALIVERE, VIGALA, and ROTSI.

September 27th, 1944

On September 27 to the west and northwest of the town of PJARNU (PERNOV), our forces continued wiping separate enemy groups out of the western coast of Estonia, securing the island of VORMI SAAR. On their way to RIGA, our forces, continuing their offensive, secured over 200 settlements, including SKRODELI, DUKTE, SKULTE, ZIEDINI, VIDRIZI, STRAUPE, LIGATNE, NITAURE, GARS...

September 28th, 1944

On September 28 to the northwest and west of the town of PJARNU (PERNOV), our forces wiped all separate enemy groups out of the western coast of Estonia and secured over 200 settlements, including such important points as PAGAZI, LIHULA, MATSKULA, VIRTSU, MURISTE, HELMKULA, KULLI, TISTAMA, SARVI, SAULEPA, and railroad stations of LIHULA, KARUZE, and VIRTSU.

September 29th, 1944

On September 29 on their way to RIGA, our forces sought to gain advantageous positions and in doing so secured over 30 settlements, including EJKAZI, SVITI, KARTUZI, and PANTARI. To the south and southeast of the town of TURKA (the DROGOBYCH Region), our forces advanced into enemy defenses on mountainous and forest-clad terrain to secure over 60 settlements, including such important points as VYSOCKO VYZNE, KRASNE, MOHNATE, ORAVA, KOZE...

September 30th, 1944

To the northwest of the town of PJARNU (PERNOV), our forces crossed the strait of SUR VAIN to take over the island of MUHU. To the south and southeast of the town of TURKA (the DROGOBYCH Region), our forces secured several settlements, including BUTELKA, JAWOROW, MATKOW, KRYWKA, FELIZENTAL, TUHOLKA, and RIKOW.
