February 01st, 1945

In the course of February 1, in EASTERN PRUSSIA, our troops continued offensive fighting during which they seized the town of SEEBURG and took by force over 50 other settlements, including DRUGENEN, KUMENEN, POJERSTIETEN, PONACKEN, SCHUDITTEN (17km northwest of KONIGSBERG), KNAUTEN, ROGENHAUSEN, TOLNIGER, ZIEGFRIEDSWALDE, LOKITTEN, FLEMING, ESCHENAU, GLOTTAU.

February 02nd, 1945

In the course of February 2 in EASTERN PRUSSIA, our troops, continuing their offensive, seized the towns of DOMNAU, SCHIPPENBEIL, GUTSTADT and took by force over 50 other settlements, including GERMAU, ROMITTEN, SCHONBRUCH, LANGENDORF, LANDSKRON, JUDITTEN, LISIEN, TROMITTEN, REDDENAU, PETERSHAGEN, SUSSENBERG, STOLZHAGEN, ALTKIRCH, BEISWALDE, LAUTERWALDE.

February 03rd, 1945

In the course of February 3, in EASTERN PRUSSIA, our troops continued their offensive, during which they seized over 30 settlements, including SPITTEHNEN, EICHHORN, HAUSHAGEN, REICHENBERG, PETERSWALDE, GRONA, SOMMERFELD.

February 04th, 1945

In the course of February 4, north and northeast of the city of KONIGSBERG, our troops fought to clear the Samland peninsula of the enemy, seizing the town and railway station of GRANZ and over 30 other settlements, including MICHELAU, GRUNHOFF, GARBSEIDEN, ALLEINEN, POBETEN, REGEHNEN. Our troops mopped up the last groups of the enemy in the KURISCHE NEHRUNG Spit, which separates the KURISCHES HAFF Bay from the Baltic Sea.

February 05th, 1945

In the course of February 5, northwest of KONIGSBERG, our troops continued fighting to clear the Samland peninsula of the enemy, during which they seized several settlements, including WATZUM, GROSS LADTKEIM, TIERENBERG, KALLEN, POWAYEN.

February 06th, 1945

In the course of February 6, in Eastern Prussia, north of the town of ALLENSTEIN, our troops seized, as a result of offensive battles, the settlements of WOSSEDEN, LANGWIESE, LAUNAU, FREIMARKT, BONERN, ARNSDORF, VOIGHTSDORF.

February 07th, 1945

In the course of February 7, south of the city KONIGSBERG, our troops fought offensive battles during which they seized over 30 settlements, including LIPNICKEN, SOLLAU, POSMAHLEN, LEIDTKEIM, LAMPASCH, POSCHLOSCHEN. On February 5 and 6, in the area of KONIGSBERG, our troops took 2,260 Nazi men and officers prisoner.

February 08th, 1945

In the course of February 8, fighting south of KONIGSBERG in EASTERN PRUSSIA, our troops seized, as a result of stubborn battles, the town of KREUZBURG and the settlements of PORSCHKEIM, SEEBEN, BARTELSDORF, WORKEIM, RAMERSWALDE, RAUNAU, BURGERWALDE, FRAUENDORF, MILLENBERG, OPEN.

February 09th, 1945

In the course of February 9, fighting south of KONIGSBERG in EASTERN PRUSSIA, our troops took by force over 30 settlements, including SNAKEINEN, BARSLAK, DINGORT, SLODITTEN, NEUEDORF, WOHRINEN, STABUNKEN.

February 10th, 1945

On February 10, the troops of the 3rd BELARUSSIAN Front, continuing their offensive, seized the town of Preussisch-Eylau, an important enemy defensive stronghold, and took by force over 30 other settlements, including GLOBUNEN, TIEFENTAHL, KORSCHELLEN, WACKERN, RODITTEN, SCHEWECKEN, TOPPRINEN, GALLEHNEN.

February 11st, 1945

In the course of February 11, our troops seized, as a result of offensive fighting in EASTERN PRUSSIA, the settlements of MARAUNEN, HUSSENEN, WONDITTEN, WOKELLEN, GLANDAU, WAGTEN, BAHSEN, WUZEN

February 12nd, 1945

In the course of February 12, our troops seized, as a result of fighting north and northwest of the town of BYDGOSZCZ (BROMBERG), the town of SCHWETZ and over 120 other settlements, including GROSS ZAPPELEN, GATZKI, SCHIROSLAW, EDRZEJEWO, BLONDZMIN, LUBIWO, LIEBENAU, DRAUSNITZ, PLOTZIG.

February 13rd, 1945

On February 13, the troops of the 2nd UKRAINIAN Front, supported by the troops of the 3rd UKRAINIAN Front, completed, after a six-week blockade and stubborn fighting in the difficult conditions of a large city, the rout of the encircled enemy group in BUDAPEST, thereby seizing the whole of the Hungarian capital BUDAPEST, a strategic enemy defensive stronghold on the way to VIENNA.

February 14th, 1945

In the course of February 14, our troops seized as a result of offensive fighting north and northwest of the town of BYDGOSZCZ (BROMBERG) over 50 settlements, including BREMIN, ZDROJE, OSTROWO, DEMBOWEC, NEUSUMMIN, JELENZ, LICHNAU, MOSNITZ, BLUMFELDE, WIEDELSHOF. On February 11, over 500 Nazi men and officers were taken prisoner in the fighting in this area.

February 15th, 1945

In the course of February 15, our troops, fighting south of KONIGSBERG, seized the settlements of ROSITTEN, KUMKEIM, GROSS KLAUSITTEN, LIEBENTHAL, LICHTENAU, LOTTERFELD, SONNWALDE, HEINRIKAU.

February 16th, 1945

In the course of February 16, our troops seized, as a result of offensive fighting northeast and north of the town of BYDGOSZCZ (BROMBERG), the settlements of KLEIN TASCHAU, JESZEWO, LIASKOWIZ, BUCIG, LUDWIGSTHAL, KLEIN GACNO, SCHMIEDERBRUCH.

February 17th, 1945

Troops of the 3rd BELARUSSIAN Front, continuing to close the encirclement of the enemy’s East-Prussian group, took by storming the towns of WORMDITT and MEHLSACK, important communications centers and powerful enemy defensive strongholds, and took by force the settlements of PLAUTEN, NEUHOF, BORNITT, KLINGENBERG.

February 18th, 1945

In the course of February 18, our troops, fighting to eliminate the Nazi Eastern-Prussian group south of KONIGSBERG, seized the settlements of ROBITTEN, GALLINGEN, ORSCHEN, WILDENHOFF, BUCHHOLZ, LEISS, LANGWALDE.

February 20th, 1945

In the course of February 20, our troops, fighting on the SAMLAND Peninsula repelled enemy infantry and tanks the attacks striving, despite heavy losses, to force their way from the city of KONIGSBERG to the west.

February 21st, 1945

In the course of February 21, our troops, fighting on the SAMLAND Peninsula, repelled enemy infantry and tank attacks striving to force their way from KONIGSBERG to PILLAU.

February 22nd, 1945

In the course of February 22, our troops, fighting on the SAMLAND Peninsula, repelled massive enemy infantry and tank attacks. At the cost of heavy losses in manpower and materiel, the enemy managed to dislodge our troops from the northern coast of the Konigsberg Bay.

February 23rd, 1945

In the course of February 23, southwest of KONIGSBERG, our troops continued fighting to eliminate the enemy’s Eastern-Prussian group, and closing the encirclement, seized the settlements of ARNSTEIN, LICHTENFELD, LILIENTHAL, TOLKSDORF, LIEBENAU, SCHALMAY. Fighting in this area on February 22, our troops took over 500 Nazi men and officers prisoner.

February 24th, 1945

In the course of February 24, our troops, fighting northwest of KONIGSBERG on the SAMLAND Peninsula, were repelling the attacks of the enemy’s infantry and tanks. Simultaneously, south-west of KONIGSBERG, our troops fought to eliminate the enemy’s Eastern-Prussian group and seized the settlements of ECKER, KUKEHNEN, LANGENDORF, QUISCHEN, PERBANDEN, SCHONEBERG, RAUSCHBACH, ANTIKEN, SCHWILLGARBEN.

February 25th, 1945

In the area of BRESLAU, our troops continued fighting to eliminate the enemy’s garrison encircled in the town and seized several blocks in the southern part of the town. Reconnaissance raids were reported on the other sections of the front.

February 26th, 1945

In the course of February 26, our troops, fighting northwest of KONIGSBERG on the SAMLAND Peninsula, repelled enemy infantry and tank attacks. Southwest of KONIGSBERG, our troops took by force the settlements of ERNSTFELDE, DUSTERWALDE, NAUSSEDEN, HEILIGENHOF, JANNITZ.

February 27th, 1945

The troops of the 2nd BELARUSSIAN Front, continuing their offensive, crushed enemy resistance west of the town of CHOJNICE (KONITZ) and over four days of fighting had advanced by 70 km.
