Troops of the Leningrad front having broken the enemy’s resistance on February 1, captured the town of Kingisepp and continuing to develop an offensive further north and south of Kingisepp took more than 50 settlements including the Staroe Gorkolovo, Novo-Gorkolovo, Kolgompia, Repina, Zalesie, Ruchji, Dubki , Slobodka-1, Slobodka-2, Koskolovo, Nizhnie Luzhitsy, Peski, Verkhnie Luzhitsy, Poluchie, Kurovitsy, Orly, Keykino, Dalnyaia Polyana, Mannovka, Gorelovo, Lozhgolovo, Zamoshie, Staropolie, Hatilovo, Valovo, Porechie, Usadishche, Glazova Gorka, Osmino, Lugovskoe and such railway stations as Valgovitsy, Koskolovo, Letnyaia, Tugany.

A few days ago, troops of the Leningrad front crossed the Narva River further south of Narva-city. Having broken through the heavily fortified defenses they captured a bridgehead of 35 kilometers long and 15 kilometers deep on the West Bank. Our troops captured such settlements as Viaska, Mustaiye, Suresoru, Kiarekonna, Sebergi, Auvere, Khavakingu, Metskyula, Uhekonna and cut Narva - Tallinn railroad near Auvere station in 15 kilometers further west of Narva.

During the course of April 1, further southwest of Ternopol our troops advanced. They captured Podgaitsy district center of Ternopol region, and took more than 30 other settlements including such major population centers as Zavaluv, Goleshuv, Tovstobaby, Konchaki, Krymiduv, Tumizh, Mendzyguzhe and such railway stations as Komarovka, Nizhnyuv, and Oleshuv.

In the course of May 1, all fronts were relatively quiet. On April 30, our troops put out of action or destroyed 24 German tanks on all fronts. A total of 43 enemy planes were brought down in air battles or by anti-aircraft fire.

Fighting north of Jassy on June 1, Soviet troops repelled all German infantry and tank attacks and destroyed 18 enemy tanks and 15 enemy aircraft, according to preliminary reports.

In the course of July 1 our forces continued to advance between lake ONEGA and lake LADOGA, seizing the PRYAZHA district center in the Karelian-Finnish SSR, as well as more than 30 other settlements...

During the course of August 1, west and south-west of the city of PSKOV, our troops continued their offensive, capturing more than 60 settlements: among them such large population centers as BOROVENKI, SHELEKHOVA, BEIAS, JAUNANNA, and railroad station LOTENE.

On September 1 to the west and south of the city of PLOIESTI, our forces advanced into enemy defenses to secure over 60 settlements, including such important points as KATINA, NEDELEA, DERMENESTI, BEKENESTI, BUJORANKA, ZOICA, TINTOVA and railroad stations of PRAHOVA and KRIVINA.

On October 1 in Yugoslavia to the south of the Romanian town of TURNU SEVERIN, our forces advanced forward to secure the following settlements: KUPUZISTE, MIHAILOVAC, DUSANOVAC, PRAHOVO, MILOSEVO, VIDROVAC, MOKRANJA, RECKA, GRADSKOVO, and VRAZOGRNAC.

Troops of the KARELIAN Front, attacking jointly with the Northern Fleet in difficult Polar conditions, completed the liberation of the PECHENGSKAYA (PETSAMO) region from the Nazi invaders on November 1.

During December 1, our troops fighting in CZECHOSLOVAKIA crossed the ONDAVA River and on the west bank of the river seized the town and railroad junction at TREBISOV, the settlements of BENKOVCE, GEN-COVCE, KOLCOV DLUGE, TUSICE, HOROVCE, VOJCICE, HARDISTE, UPOR, BARANC, HARAN, UJLAK and JASTRABE, and the railroad station at UPOR.

On January 1 in Czechoslovakia, advancing to the town of Lucenec, our forces secured the settlements of Wielkie Dravce, Bolkowce, Nitra, Galsa, Terbelovce, Mikusovce (three kilometers to the south of Lucenec), Rapowce, Panitske-Dravce, Terinc, Busince, Malye Zlewce, Malye and Wielkie Straciny, Plachtince, and the railway junction of Rapowce. On December 31, our troops captured 515 German personnel in this area.

In the course of February 1, in EASTERN PRUSSIA, our troops continued offensive fighting during which they seized the town of SEEBURG and took by force over 50 other settlements, including DRUGENEN, KUMENEN, POJERSTIETEN, PONACKEN, SCHUDITTEN (17km northwest of KONIGSBERG), KNAUTEN, ROGENHAUSEN, TOLNIGER, ZIEGFRIEDSWALDE, LOKITTEN, FLEMING, ESCHENAU, GLOTTAU.

On March 1, the offensive of the Red Army northeast and north of the town of Neustettin in Pomerania resulted in capturing the settlements of Flemmingsort, Fletenstein, Falkenhagen, Helkewiese, Neudorf, Zechendorf, Buchwald...

Following a protracted siege and bitter fighting, the 1st Ukrainian Front forces defeated the encircled enemy garrison in the city and fortress of Glogau, seizing this formidable Wehrmacht strongpoint on the left bank of the Oder. More than 8,000 enemy personnel were taken prisoner and a lot of materiel was captured.

In the course of May 1, south-west of the town and port of PILLAU, the troops of the 3rd BELARUSSIAN Front fought battles to clear the FRISCHE NEHRUNG Spit of the enemy and seized the settlements of NARMELN, BRANDHEIDSCHER, NEUKRUG and VOGLERS.
